    An NGO is a Non-governmental organization that works for the social welfare and growth of the society at large. An NGO can be registered under any form of registration i.e. Trust, Society, or a Non-profit company (Sec. 8 Companies). All these organizations collectively fall under the major category of NGO. NGOs are not formed to earn any profit or income from society whereas it is registered for social welfare.
